Create an account in What's Left

Which information is mandatory?

When you install the app, the first step is to create an account.

The following information is needed:

a user name
an e-mail address
Your e-mail address is only needed to enable the "forgot password" functionality. If you forget your password, a code will be sent to the entered e-mail address so that you can log in again. What's Left respects your privacy and your email address will not be shared with others.

Why is the creation of an account in What's Left mandatory?

1. What's Left's account sharing

We require the creation of an account in What's Left in order to enable the account-sharing feature. Data is synchronized between two or more devices and remains therefore always up-to-date for any of these. In addition, this ensures that the data accumulated over the years can never be lost.

Synchronisation in What's Left — if you share a *What's Left* account with your partner, you can see all the changes in real time.

2. Use What's Left Services

Some Features are rather complex and are hard to implement on a phone. This is the case of the pantry's predictions or the barcode references. This is why we use servers which execute those operations. For this purpose and only for the duration of the operation, the necessary data will be loaded from the database.
